Climate neutrality, analysis of the latest data and debate on the challenges of transformation. All this took place at a conference organized at the ADN Conference Centre.

At the end of June, the Institute of Environmental Protection – National Research Institute organized the conference “Challenges of transformation in the perspective of achieving the goal of climate neutrality of Poland and the European Union by 2050”. The main topic was to discuss the challenges of economic transformation in the perspective of achieving the goal of climate neutrality by 2050 in Poland and the European Union. The discussion was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Climate and Environment. The hall was attended by representatives of the leading energy companies in the country as well as experts from the energy market.

During the conference, the latest results of the analysis of the Climate and Energy Analysis Center were presented. The program also devoted a panel to the problems of sectoral transformation and the challenges of energy-intensive sectors, including changes in the Polish heating sector in the context of the EU climate policy.

At the end of the event, a discussion panel on the challenges of economic transformation in the context of the “fit for 55” package was held, led by Robert Tomaszewski, Head of PI Energy at the Polityka Insight analytical center. The panel was attended by Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Liv Rathe, Director of Norsk Hydro, Paweł Cioch, Vice President of PGE, Monika Morawiecka, Regulatory Assistance Project, PhD Eng. Tomasz Zieliński, President of the Management Board of the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry, and Aleksander Rajch, Member of the Management Board of the Polish Alternative Fuels Association.
